Are you selling from your pocket?

Have you ever taken a course about personalities? DISC. The first time I took a class in this, I was blown away. I knew people are not all the same, but I didn’t realize we could be put in a box! This is even true of the shape of your lipstick as you wear it down. It truly was an eye opener and has helped me to relate to different personalities, especially when it comes to being in a stressful situation. Ever heard the expression “Your children will express what you repress.” Have a child that challenges you every step of the way? DISC can make everyone’s life so much easier.
The same can be said for all the people we deal with on a daily basis. Imagine that person at work that drives you crazy. When you understand about how they see things – you can actually enjoy the experience. Don’t we all want to be heard and seen? 
 Now I find this particularly important when it comes to a sales situation. Now I am a D or dominant personality. My hubby is a C or cautious personality. He wants facts and figures and so much info and then he thinks on it before making a decision. I am not that way at all.  Now as long as we plan ahead when going to purchase something, our personalities have worked to our advantage. This works especially well when getting a price down.
And It takes all kinds to sell to all kinds. So people do not all buy the same way so when you can identify their personalities you can better relate to what’s important in making a sale. We all love to buy just not the same way.
