When you open your wallet, what do you see?

Don’t you love my $1,000,000 bank note. Great gift for someone who has everything. Notice in big letters – non- negotiable!! Like Bare Naked Ladies song “ if I had a Million Dollars.” What would you do with a $1,000,000. My hubby balances his bank account in pencil and to the penny. I have a running total in my head and have never been overdrawn but never balance it like my hubby. Needless to say, we don’t share bank accounts. It took me a long time to understand money! My money usually ran out before month end. With my last full-time job my most vivid recollection was my every two weeks 20-minute thrill – getting paid and it usually only lasted 20 minutes and I was broke for another two weeks. I was always looking for a way to make extra cash.

When you open your wallet what do you see? For many of us we use debit or credit and rarely see money is the wallet. What I see when I open my wallet is my million-dollar bill so I never feel broke. I was at a McDonald’s with a friend and her two daughters – they were about 7 and 9. I handed what I thought was a $20 bill to the young man behind the counter. Out of the corner of my eye I could see my friend’s daughter elbow her sister just as the sales clerk said – “I don’t think I can change this.” Can you spend a $1,000,000? Do it right now – get paper and pen and spend it. My hubby and I do this before we sleep at night. Do it in detail – you say you will buy a house. What will it look like? Floor plan? If you do not feel you can spend a million – ask your hubby and kids. He will know what make model and color of the truck or car he wants. Now does money buy health or happiness – NO! It does buy choices! I rank it up there with oxygen!!! Money is the measure of the pleasure you send into the lives of others. Do you value your time and efforts? Others likely won’t if you don’t.

Energy flows to where your attention goes. If you had a million dollars wouldn’t you give some away? Did your parents say things like “money doesn’t grow on trees” or “we may not have money but at least we are honest”. Money brings up many emotions, especially when running a business. I see is so many people who do not have a plan. There are so many great resources to help you figure that out. Many people don’t plan to fail but they fail to plan.

Make it a great day!
