Is everything on social media the truth???

Is the customer, always right? That is something I was trained to believe and live by. Now, is it easy to get good customer service?  Not always. Sometimes it is amazing that you can actually get a human being to speak too, and when I do get excellent service, I like to share it. 

Now with social media – what is true? Is everything you see on social media true? Hard to tell isn’t it. I have a friend and she believes everything on social media is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. There are so many things about social media that I love. When it’s my birthday and people who do not know me well but take the time to say Happy Birthday is amazing. Yes, a reminder of something good in the world. It only takes a minute but with the busy world we live in – I truly appreciate this so much. 

When you see posts of people saying horrible things about businesses and people – that is disturbing. Why complain when you can go to the source and see if it can be fixed? Now if you cannot get service then by all means it is good to vent. Is this considered bullying? Can it be done in a positive way? Sharing our experiences, both good and bad, on social media can certainly help us decide who to do business with. Love when I see someone looking for recommendations and people responding.  It is not only time saving but that’s the kind of advertising that's truly worth a lot.  

Last fall we moved and so had to have our phone provider disconnect from one and reconnect to another location. The service was deplorable, and I did go to social media to ask for help. I was sure someone I knew would help to get this resolved. It worked out beautifully. 

Look for the good and you will find it.

Are you wearing your make me feel important sign?

Everyone wears a sign that says "Make me feel important".  We want to be seen and heard and make a connection.  There is a Ted Talks that says if you want to live longer - we need to make more connections.  So everywhere I go, I try to make someone feel special.  A compliment, a kind word, thank you, just a litte extra something.  It doesn't really take more time, but it makes you feel good and the person on the receiving end of your kindness. My hubby and I were in Las Vegas in a line up for tickets to a show.  The people in front of us gave the agent at the desk the worst time, horrible treatment that a person doesn't deserve.  The woman was amazing being so polite and professional.  When we got in front of her we said we were so sorry that she had been treated like that.   She went out of her way to help us get great seats.  When we left we went to find her boss and shared how great she had been to the nasty people an...
