DO YOU PLAN TO FAIL OR FAIL TO PLAN
Do you
have a plan? Do you know where you are going? This is for health, business and
life. Are you a list maker? Making a list is one of my favorite things.
Checking each item off as I complete it is an amazing feeling! Don’t laugh but
my list says things like get out of bed – check it off. Yeah, I did something
on my list.
When I feel overwhelmed and that happens when I have about 15 or 20
things going through my head, I make a list. Having my calendar on my phone
aligned with my computer has made my life so much easier. If you have lived
through days of no power – a paper copy always helps. Yes, I still have a paper
calendar on my fridge, so my hubby knows where to find me. We both write where
and what we are doing the for the next week and months. At the end of the day,
before I go to bed – I go over my to do list and write down all I have
accomplished today. How many times we are berating what we didn’t get done. It
is my daily WIN! A pat on the back for all the great things I did get
done today. Then making my list for tomorrow helps me to sleep better. Keeping
a paper and pen next to my bed also helps when I get a brilliant thought I can
write it down and go back to sleep. Have you ever had a brilliant idea in the
shower – make sure paper and pen is close by. What gets written down gets done.
At least
once a month I go over all that needs to get done for the following month and I
decide what I have to do and what I can delegate. When I do all that is possible
today – the impossible can happen. What I do today I will see the results in
about six months. Colette Robichaud gives some great tips for a list. Make it 8
or 9 items. 1 big job, 3 medium size and 4 or 5 small items. People who make
lists get more things done.
Do you
have a freezer? For years I wanted to get a freezer and my hubby never wanted
one. Guess who does most of the cooking in our house? Interesting in that he
never knew you could get a stand-up freezer like a fridge! Now he loves our
freezer because we could likely eat for a month without cooking cause we have
meals prepared in our freezer. At least once a week when I am making dinner – I
make a big pot of whatever I am cooking and freeze extra meals. Cook once and
eat several times. Being self-employed – I also love bartering. Trading
services is the best. I love to eat and so need to cook. Baking not so
much fun for me and that’s where I love to barter for home baking. Maybe you
love to decorate, and another friend loves to bake. Why not trade services!
Make it a great day!
