BUSINESS IS EVERYWHERE!



Greatness will not be thrust upon you at home, you must get up, get dressed and get out! Yet amazingly enough that's not what happened at my home today! Do you believe business is everywhere? I do! 

Are you open to opportunities? We just moved a month or so ago and are busy getting things done. It's a brand-new house and so many extra jobs to do. Kevin from Clearview Window Films is installing this amazing product that blocks UV rays from fading furniture and paint. My friend Kat Tracey, home stagger/decorator, is here with me as well giving me ideas. How does this relate? Kevin has this amazing process where he can take photos and print it on window film. So, my hubby Joe is a very avid fly fisherman and has many photos of salmon he has caught. In our hallway there are three windows about 2 ft. by 2ft. Guess what we will be looking at everyday? Yes, those fish will be proudly on display for him and I will get privacy from the house next door. The price for this is very affordable. Like stained glass at a fraction of the price. Kat immediately saw the potential of the many ways you can incorporate this in residential and commercial use. So of course, new connections have been made right in my kitchen. Love connecting people.

When out and about, how can you let people know what your business is? On every coat I wear a pin that shows my company logo. In every pocket there are a couple of business cards too. I had a dozen business cards laminated at staples to be used as luggage tags. I have them on every purse, briefcase and tote bag I carry. People do notice this, and I find business everywhere I go. Yes, things like smiling and being friendly also help.

Are you wearing your make me feel important sign?

Everyone wears a sign that says "Make me feel important".  We want to be seen and heard and make a connection.  There is a Ted Talks that says if you want to live longer - we need to make more connections.  So everywhere I go, I try to make someone feel special.  A compliment, a kind word, thank you, just a litte extra something.  It doesn't really take more time, but it makes you feel good and the person on the receiving end of your kindness. My hubby and I were in Las Vegas in a line up for tickets to a show.  The people in front of us gave the agent at the desk the worst time, horrible treatment that a person doesn't deserve.  The woman was amazing being so polite and professional.  When we got in front of her we said we were so sorry that she had been treated like that.   She went out of her way to help us get great seats.  When we left we went to find her boss and shared how great she had been to the nasty people an...
